The Ishq Vishk is a silent film released in 1983. The romance is set in the 1930s rural India. This movie was directed by Gulzar and produced by Gulzar and Agha Ali together with Nargis Dutt. Although this film was not well received at the time of its release, it is now considered as among the best love stories ever filmed in India. The story tells us that Rabbo, a beautiful village belle gets married to Gulzar without knowing about his past. Rabbo, unaware of Raja's marriage, begins to feel lonely in her marriage with Lalu. The film beautifully goes back and forth in time to tell the story of Rabbo, Rabbo's sister-in-law Fazal Maboudi, Lalu's brother Abbu and his wife Tin Kaur. It shows how Rabbo manages to win Raja's heart eventually.The movie was shot in Srivardhan Studios in Maharashtra over a span of three months. The famous song "Mujhe Tumse Mohabbat Hai" was shot in most famous castles of Maharashtra - Chanderi fort. The cinematography is by N. Dharam Singh and background score was by Shankar Jaikishan. The film is remembered for the songs which were composed by the legendary duo Shankar-Jaikishan.
